Access to dashboards and reports, such as those in RADAR, is governed by the by the Institutional Data Policy and the Data Access and Authorization Standard. Access is managed through Access Groups, which align with Data Classification in each Data Domain (e.g., Student-Restricted).
Key Requirements
- You must belong to the Access Group assigned to the dashboard or report.
- If a dashboard/report requires multiple Access Groups, submit a separate request for each.
- Membership in an Access Group grants access to all dashboards associated with that group, unless additional group memberships are required.
Requesting Access
UW–Madison employees can request Access Group membership via the Badger Data Access application. Requests are reviewed by the appropriate Data Steward and may require supervisor approval. Some groups have additional requirements, such as training, which will be communicated after submission.
